Decision making is a complex process. Three things that motivate a translator decision-making are: 1-Audience 2-Purpose 3-Context A translator must make a choice from several alternatives, so in all kinds of translations, always there is a 'problem' and to solve the problem there are a large number of 'solutions' and the translator should make a decision choosing the best alternative, so the message would be understandable for the audience.
