according to me the unit of translation has to do with the tecniques of translation; the translation made thought by thought; or sentence by sentence; or read all the paragraph and than translate....
as i reed the book ,and it is written that the unit of translation is the smallest segment of the utterance whose signs can not be translated individually,i think it means that we can not translate word by word,or it is about the whole text. brikelda nanaj
the unit of translation is the linguistic unit which the translator uses when translate.In other words we can say that the unit of translation is the word or group of words that are the building blogs for the translator.
